General Terms and Conditions of Hire

WHEN THE CONTRACT STARTS

The contract comes into effect when the hirer has placed an order and has agreed to keep to these conditions by the signing of this form.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR HIRED GOODS

The hirer must make sure that everyone who uses the equipment is properly instructed on how to use them safely and correctly. The hirer must make sure the goods are not misused.

THE HIRERS RESPONSIBILITY WHEN HIRING THE EQUIPMENT

·     The hirer become responsible for the goods when they receive them:

o    If the goods are delivered the hirer’s responsibility starts when the equipment is erected.

o    If the goods are collected, this will be when the hirer’s responsibility starts.

·     The hirer’s responsibilities include protecting the goods and keeping them safe from the weather, theft, vandalism or improper use.

·     The hirer is responsible for looking after the goods and returning them to us in good working order.

·     The hirer must not sell or in any way give up control of the goods.

·     The hirer will be responsible for any death, injury, loss or damage caused by the equipment being misused while they are hired.

·    The hirer must tell Teenyweeny Fun immediately if the goods are involved in any accident resulting in damage to the goods or to other property, or injury to any person.  There is an accident book available with every hire to ensure that any incident, no matter how small, is recorded therein with full details, names of supervisors, witnesses, injured persons etc.  Any injury, therefore must be recorded therein and signed by the injured person or their representative.

·    The hirer must take all necessary steps to make the goods safe and to protect them against theft or damage.

·    The hirer must pay Teenyweeny Fun reasonable costs of replacing/repairing or cleaning the goods if you return them damaged or unclean.

MAINTAINING HIRED GOODS, BREAK DOWN REPLACEMENTS

The hirer must make sure the goods remain safe, clean and in working order. If the goods break down or are not working properly the hirer must report this to Teenyweeny Fun immediately. The hirer must not repair or attempt to repair the goods unless authorised by Teenyweeny Fun.

WHERE HIRED GOODS ARE PLACED

The hired goods must not be moved from any site agreed by Teenyweeny Fun unless you have our written permission.

LIMITS OF OUR LIABILITY

·    All the times Teenyweeny Fun quote for delivering and collecting the goods are approximate.

·    If the goods break down or stop working properly, Teenyweeny Fun will try to replace them or repair the fault as soon as reasonably possible.

Additional Terms and Conditions of Hire for the Inflatable

This inflatable should be operated to the standards set out by the Health and Safety Executive (guidance on Safety and Practice in Fairgrounds and Amusement Parks – PM76/Entertainment sheet 7 and the local Authority).  These standards form the basis of these conditions of hire.

1.     At all times the hirer must act responsibly to operate the castle SAFELY and so avoid injury to anyone using the castle and to avoid damage to the inflatable.

2.     As the hirer you are NOT permitted to erect the inflatable equipment. You must however, clean dry and deflate the equipment prior to locking it away safely when it is not being used.

3.    As the hirer you are not permitted to move the inflatable away from its original site.  If it is moved Teenyweeny Fun will not accept any liability for any potential risks to children bouncing in and off it, e.g. fences, railings, thorny bushes etc.

4.     Teenyweeny Fun will inflate the castle on a level surface (if appropriate) which is clear of sharp objects.   They will also secure it using attached ties and metal pegs (if appropriate).

5.     The hirer is responsible for the placing of the safety mats in front of the castle, which must remain in place for duration of use.

6.     The hirer is responsible for:

·      Not allowing children with medical conditions which may put them at risk of injury (e.g. brittle bone disease or temporary injuries) to use the inflatable.

·      Preventing the blower, cable and plugs from getting wet.

·      Having first aid facilities on site.

7.    A responsible adult must stand on either side of the front of the castle and supervise play on the castle at all times. Deflate castle when not supervised or in use.

8.    Shoes must be removed before entering the castle.

9.    Users should remove spectacles, pens and buckles or any hard objects before using the castle.

10.  Do not allow:

·      Children to climb the walls of the castle.

·      Toys to be taken onto the castle because they may cause injury if fallen on and could puncture the castle.

·      Pets on the castle.

11.  Limit the number of children on the castle at any one time to a safe level.

12.  The inflatable is intended for use by children UNDER the age of 10.

13.  Avoid having older children on the castle at the same time as younger ones.

14.  Upon Teenyweeny Fun’s return, the castle should be found to be in clean condition, please advise the location of any leaks and if the castle has got wet.

15.  The hirer understands that if there is any damage to, or loss of, the equipment we will be responsible for repair or replacement of the said equipment.

 Teenyweeny Fun and its employees:

·    Reserve the right to refuse to hire to anyone they deem not suitable without having to give an explanation.

·    Will not be held liable for late or non delivery whatever the cause or reason.

 

All of Teenyweeny Fun’s equipment is hygienically pressure washed regularly and in order to maintain these high standards for all users the hirer must ensure that no food or drink be consumed within the unit.

Teenyweeny Fun and its employees WILL NOT be liable for any accidents, damages, or injuries that may occur through the hire of this inflatable.
